Monday Mojo! Inner Beauty- For the Gals

Hey Guys and Gals! Since we all know it's Monday again, and we all know Mondays are always sort of a downer day, I'm going to start a new series called Monday Mojo!
Today's Monday Mojo will be focusing on inner beauty. If you're a guy, I know you'll probably be clicking away immediately, since you think this will be all about the girls, BUT! I will have a guy's section too, in part two! Don't worry. So let's get started, Ladies.

How you look (or think you look.)

This is definitely the main problem with most women and especially teenage girls. With all the media and influences from everywhere, people have become oblivious to what is real and what is actually fake. Statistics stand that 99% of all magazine covers or pictures are airbrushed. You may say, "Ugh, another  one of these 'you're amazing, blah blah blah' articles.", but really, people do need to address these issues. People really do compare themselves to others and think that they're really not beautiful, and that needs to stop. So, here are some basic facts I have come to know.

1. Everyone has insecurities, whether we admit it or not. For some of us, it's our pants sizes, some of us it's our curves, and for others, it's that they really think they're just unattractive! Well, for me, learning to accept my pants size took the realization that it is just a number. It does not label you. It is simply a number to find the correct clothes you wear! And curviness cannot always be changed. If they can, you know that you can change them and if they can't, they're probably hips... and some people just have bigger hips than others! If you think you're unattractive, well, for one, that's a matter of opinion. Two, most people don't measure attractiveness by purely looks. You've got to have personality! Just be you!

2.We end up comparing ourselves to others and thinking that we really are ugly or bad looking, but God makes us in the image of him, and I don't think He's ugly, so he would never make something that isn't a gorgeous piece of art!

3. Telling yourself you're beautiful makes you find beauty in everyone. It starts to make you think about what true beauty is and how not everything matters.
So, I would like to challenge you, right here, right now. Every time you see your reflection, tell yourself that you are beautiful. If you are with someone, simply think about it in your head. Just think, "I .Am. Beautiful." You don't have to believe it, but if you follow this rule, you will definitely start to. If you are worried that you will start being prideful, don't. Seeing the beauty in yourself helps you to start seeing the beauty in others; you start noticing that someone may simply have stunning eyes or a beautiful personality. It will truly change you.
Go make beauty happen, my lovelies!
xoxo,
