DIY Sparkly Pill Box

So I finally bought some Mod Podge and I figured that i'd do a few projects! Here's one I did on an old Pill box I had.
So let's get started.

The Supplies you will need for this project are:
1. Mod Podge (I used the glossy type)
2. Sparkles of any sorts.
3. An paintbrush you don't necessarily want to keep.
(The Mod Podge dries pretty fast, so you might want to use an old one.)
4. Some good 'ole duck tape. (or painters' tape, if you prefer)
5. A pill box with a flat surface

So as you can see, I've already removed the inside of this pill box, the divider thing. You may want to do that, or you can keep it in if you want.

Cover the edges of your pill box with duck/duct tape, so you don't get extra mod podge on undesired places. You'll have to put it on in little pieces so you can get it more circular-fitting.

Cover your surface with a thinner sort of layer of Mod Podge.

Finally, time to add some sparkle!! Sprinkle the sparkles over the mod podge. Let it dry a bit.

Once it's almost completely dry, (it should take about five minutes or so.) Shake a few extra sparkles off. Don't shake it too much, just a few sparkles!

Let it dry completely and then add another layer of mod podge.

Add Another thin layer of sparkles...

Start patting down the sparkles as you keep adding more...

Shake just a few off!

BEFORE it dries, peel off the pieces of duck tape.

Start shaping the slightly dried mod podge to where it's inside the metal part...

And shaping...

And patting! Make sure the layer is even, so there aren't any 'piles' of sparkles.

Let it dry!

Aaand you're done! Now you have a cute little pill box or a little box for earrings, etc.
xoxo,
 Mags
